Ashleigh House School, High street, New Hampton (renamed Hampton Hill in 1890). The Revd. Alexander James Donald D'Orsey (1812-94), English master at the High School of Glasgow from 1834-54, ordained a priest in 1847, was incumbent of St John's, Anderston, 1851, chaplain to the English Church, Becco dos Arranhas, Madeira, 1859, and was subsequently appointed chaplain and lecturer in English history at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, in 1860; from 1864 to 1890 he lectured at King's College, London
