Leonard Staniforth died on active service on 17 July 1944, while serving in the 7th Queen’s Own Hussars (Royal Armoured Corps) in Italy. The son of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas of Leamington Spa, he was 31 years of age and is buried in Ancona Cemetery; the above described forwarding box is addressed to ‘Mrs. E. K. Staniforth, 35 Windmill Road, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. England.’
