Charles I (1625-1649), Newark, Shilling, 1645, crude flat crown, 9 pearls to left of orb and 8 pearls to right, from the same rev. die as previous, reads newarke, 5.67g/12h (Hird 249; SCBI Brooker 1223-4, same rev. die; N 2639; S 3141). Crease marks, otherwise fine, reverse better, bright appearance, very rare £600-£800
