Charles I (1625-1649), Newark, Shilling, 1645, crude flat crown, 9 pearls either side of orb, reads newarke, 5.98g/12h (Hird 247-8 and SCBI Brooker 1223, same dies; N 2639; S 3141). Old scratch on obverse, otherwise fine, very rare £500-£600
