Niclausse for the SAMF, naked Roman warrior with sword and shield, being guided by the music, rev. young female head left, hair blown by the wind, singing a song of war, lyre in background, 60mm, edge stamped 266 (Maier 5; ANS Exh. Cat. 1910, p.309, 25; Coll. R. Marx 94; BDM IV, 260; cf. Baldwin 90, 1964). Good very fine, rare £150-£200
