Alexander Watson was born at Keith, Banffshire in 1898 and attested there for the Gordon Highlanders. He served with the 1st/6th (Banff and Donside) Battalion (Territorial Force) during the Great War on the Western Front from 10 November 1914 and was killed in action on 10 July 1917. He is buried in New Irish Farm Cemetery, Belgium.
