Roy Stuart McGregor was born in Edinburgh and served with “B” Company, 1st Battalion, Cameron Highlanders during the Great War on the Western Front from 14 August 1914. He was killed in action at Ypres on 22 October 1914, aged 19 years; he has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
