Samuel Nicholls Walker joined the India Police Department on 1 December 1880, as Inspector-General of Frontier Police. He was appointed Assistant Superintendent of Police in September 1884 and District Superintendent in May 1894, and was actively employed in the Lushai district during 1889-92. Superintendent Walker retired in June 1914.
