Frederick T. Wing was born and lived in Peckham and enlisted at Blackheath. Serving with the 20th Battalion London Regiment he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 9 October 1915. Serving with the 2nd/4th Battalion London Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, 21 March 1918. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial.
