William John Sellick Ladd was born in Exeter and lived and enlisted at Camberwell, serving initially with the 20th Battalion London Regiment. When serving with the 2nd/1st Battalion London Regiment, he was killed in action on 30 October 1917. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial. Sold with damaged medal card box of issue and forwarding slip and slip for Plaque.
