Bellamy Tally was born in Iverton, Devon. A Valet by occupation, he attested for the Imperial Yeomanry. Served with the 47th Company 13th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry and was taken prisoner at Lindley, 31 May 1900 but was later released. Returning to England he was discharged but re-attested on 7 March 1901. Served with the 92nd Company Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa, March 1901-September 1902. Discharged from the 101st Company I.Y. on 15 September 1902. With copied service notes.
