Albert Victor Snitch, who was born in Islington, London in March 1892, originally enlisted in the Royal Engineers, but transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in January 1913. Embarked for France as an Air Mechanic 2nd Class in mid-August 1914, he went on to serve in No. 5 Squadron and was advanced to Sergeant in November 1916, the same month that he joined No. 1 Wireless School. From October 1917 until October 1918, he served in the rank of Flight Sergeant (Instructor), and he was demobilised in November 1919; accompanying research refers.

Herbert Radford enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps in May 1915 and first went out to France that September, where he served in until being invalided home with severe diphtheria in May 1916. Returning to France in April 1917, he remained actively employed until the War’s end, latterly as a motor cyclist. He was finally discharged in May 1923; accompanying copied service record refers.
