John Griffiths was born at Chester and enlisted for the 81st Regiment at Carmarthen on 15 October 1803, aged 20 years, for unlimited service. He served a total of 13 years 289 days and was discharged, ‘worn out’, on 29 July 1817.

Note that there are two men of this name entitled to the clasp for Maida and a third one entitled to the clasp for Corunna. Sold with copied discharge papers for two of these men.
