Harry Ward Brown was born in Birkenhead, Cheshire, lived in Wallasey, Cheshire and enlisted at Liverpool. As a Private in the R.A.M.C. he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 6 November 1915. Serving with the 98th Field Ambulance R.A.M.C. he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 31 July 1917.
