Alice Bradley was born in Delhi, India on 26 October 1878. She trained as a Nurse at Radcliffe Infirmary & County Hospital, Oxford, 1907-10. In January 1911 she applied for service in the Q.A.I.M.N.S. and was accepted. With the Q.A.I.M.N.S. she served in France from August 1914 until invalided in September 1917. In 1920 she was based at the Military Hospital, Curragh, Ireland. In 1922 she was posted to Constantinople, being transferred to Egypt in April 1923. Suffering from Neurasthenia, she was invalided from Egypt in January 1927 and resigned from the service in November that year. With a folder containing a quantity of copied service papers.
