William Page was born in Southampton. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the Hampshire Regiment at Lymington on 12 January 1897, aged 19 years. He served in India, September 1898-February 1903 and Aden, February 1903-June 1904. Transferred to the Army Reserve in January 1905, he was discharged having completed his period of service on 11 January 1909. With copied pre-WW1 service papers.
