A note on the medal roll compiled by Gordon Everson states: ‘Twice shown on the Roll, once credited with 1850-3 and then again with no date and shown as C. W. Armstrong. A note against the latter entry says “specially entitled by letter from Col Cooper”. It is dated 8.5.56 and a renamed medal was sent to him.’ Sold with research, including a letter from Gordon Everson.
