William Dundas Williamson - note ’David’ on plaque - was born in Irvine, Ayrshire, in February 1884. Enlisting in the C.E.F. at Valcartier in September 1914, he was serving with the 7th (1st British Columbia) Battalion when he died of wounds on 5 July 1915, having suffered a gunshot to the abdomen. He was buried in the Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, Nord, France; sold with copied service papers.
