The 34th Prince Albert Victor’s Own Poona Horse formed part of the 9th (Secunderabad) Cavalry Brigade, 2nd Indian Cavalry Division, alongside the 7th Dragoon Guards, 20th Deccan Horse and ‘N’ Battery, Royal Horse Artillery.

The 36th Jacob’s Horse (Sind Horse) formed part of the 4th (Lucknow) Cavalry Brigade, 1st Indian Cavalry Divison, alongside the King’s Dragoon Guards, 29th Lancers (Deccan Horse), Jodhpur Lancers and ‘U’ Battery Royal Horse Artillery.
