Charles II (1649-1685), First coinage, 2 Merks, 1673, type III, f below bust (Falconer), 12.81g/12h (D 12; M 9a; SCBI 35 –; B p.495; S 5609; KM. 103.4). Obverse fine, reverse with small flaw on Scottish shield otherwise good fine, old grey cabinet tone, an excellent example of this great rarity £1,000-1,500
