Sergeant William Shearman 3rd/95th Regiment Presentation Tobacco Box 1816, constructed of sheet copper and of elliptical shape measuring 11.5 x 7.5 x 5.2 cms, the lifter lid with remains of original metal liner is engraved ‘Sgt Wm Shearman/A token of esteem from his friends/95th Regt/April 10th 1816’, good overall condition £ 260-360
Note: Shearman received a Waterloo Medal having served in Captain J. Fullerton’s Company, he was discharged from the Army 15th April, 1816.
