Bell Collection of British Trade Tokens; the original 60pp manuscript list of the collection in the owner’s hand, together with a complete single column draft proof of the catalogue with some minor amendments, an early draft of the foreword and correspondence between Fred Schwer and Preston-Morley regarding the cataloguing of the collection; together with a copy of the printed catalogue, 1 October 1996, 311 lots, 9 plates, signed by Mr Bell on inside front cover, ‘Thank you for your help’, and the original portrait photograph of Mr Bell used in the catalogue, signed ‘Best wishes’ on the back [Lot]. An unusual and unique file recording the cataloguing of one of the best known collections to have been dispersed in recent years (£50-70)
