4th Royal Irish Dragoon Guards Other Ranks 1871 Pattern Helmet Plate & Horse Furniture. The helmet plate of standard format, a white metal elongated star mounted with the Garter Proper in brass, in the centre a white metal ‘4’ on a ground of black patent leather, a cast brass bit boss, Guelphic crown over a strap ‘Royal Irish Dragoon Guards’ in the centre the Maid & Harp, five pierced brass short blade fasteners, a large circular brass item with single box fastener mounted with a KC over a wreath of Union sprays and enclosing the Harp & Maid, at the bottom a double scroll ‘Quis Separabit’, good overall condition (3) £80-120
