George III (1760-1820), Pattern Penny, 1805 (probably early Soho), by C.H. Küchler, in white metal, laureate and draped bust right [from the Irish Penny], date added below, rev. Britannia seated left, sea close to border, edge plain, 12.90g/12h (BMC 1299 [KP 27]; Selig –). Extremely fine and of the highest rarity; superior to the plate coin [Peck’s] in BMC £1,000-1,500
