A German Second World War Army Single Decal Normandy Pattern Camouflage Combat Helmet. A standard M.40 combat helmet, which unusually is not size stamped to the inner shell. The exterior skull retains at least 50% of its combat finish camouflage with faint traces of the army eagle visible. Faint traces of the Normandy colour green mixed with the dunkel gelb paint remaining. Interior liner of 8 tongues still intact with an original drawstring. Some of the leather is slightly solidified with an owner’s name ‘W.Rein’ with the number ‘31797’ attached. Complete with its original chinstrap, zinc liner band, reasonable condition £200-£300
