Cabul 1842 (* No. 504 Timothy Connor 3 K.O.L. Drs.*) fitted with original steel clip and bar suspension, contemporary engraved naming in the regimental style, light contact marks, otherwise nearly very fine £360-£420

Timothy Connor was born at Killarney and attested for the 3rd Light Dragoons at Cork on 19 October, aged 20, a labourer by trade. He served in the campaign in Afghanistan in 1840 (Medal) and is also entitled to the Sutlej medal for Moodkee, Ferozeshuhur and Sobraon, and the Punjab medal without clasp, being at the regimental Depot at Ferozepore during January and February 1849. He transferred to the 5th Dragoon Guards on 30 June 1853, prior to his discharge at Dublin on 25 November 1853.
