Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society Presentation Star, 68mm, silver, hallmarks for London 1809, with maker’s mark of Thomas Phipps and Edward Robinson, the obverse of the seven-pointed star engraved ‘At a meeting of the Committee of the Liverpool Shipwreck & Humane Society held at the Pilotage Office, Prince’s Pier on the 26: day of April 1878’, the reverse engraved ‘It was resolved unanimously that the thanks of the Committee be Presented to Michael Harvey, Boatman, who has received the Medal of the Society and many other rewards for having saved the lives of 25 Persons between the years 1853 and 1878.’, the lower arm of the obverse additionally engraved ‘Case 129 1878’; the top arm of the reverse engraved with a Liver bird and the lower arms of reverse additionally engraved ‘ Thos.
