Charles I (1625-1649), Oxford mint, Shilling, 1643, mm. Oxford plume on obv. only, reads brit fr et hi, rev. Declaration, three Shrewsbury plumes above, large date below, 5.89g/10h (Morr. F-8; SCBI Brooker 935; N 2428; S 2974). Slightly small of flan but reasonable weight, nearly very fine, scarce £300-£400
