The third token, stamped jw, was issued by John Williams, a former miner and furnaceman, from a metal works at Watery Lane, Sutton, a suburb of St Helens (ex. inf. from Williams’ grandson to the vendor). The Raven Inn token was believed by the two previous owners to be an issue from St Helens
