Boyle, uniface brass Fourpence, 25mm; Hobbs, brass, 22mm (W 4520, this piece); Raven Inn, Bowling Green, oval brass Threehalfpence, 32x23mm [7]. Second and third worn, others fine to very fine, all very rare £90-£120

The third token, stamped jw, was issued by John Williams, a former miner and furnaceman, from a metal works at Watery Lane, Sutton, a suburb of St Helens (ex. inf. from Williams’ grandson to the vendor). The Raven Inn token was believed by the two previous owners to be an issue from St Helens
