Alan Gordon Blofield served as a Warrant Officer Class 1 prior to his commission as Second Lieutenant in October 1975. He advanced to Captain in October 1977, and was serving with 4 Divisional HQ and Signals Regiment at the time of the Silver Jubilee. Blofield advanced to Major, and retired in June 1990.
