Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., 3rd issue, small letter reverse (2362 Wm. McKee. 81st Foot) contact marks, good very fine £80-£100

William McKee was born at Templepatrick, Antrim, Ireland, and attested for the 81st Foot (Loyal Lincoln Volunteers) at Belfast, in July 1848, at the age of 18. He was discharged at his own request, in July 1869 at Buttevant, after 21 years and 15 days’ service, 11 years of which were spent in the East Indies, and was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in July 1870.
