Memorial Plaque (Henry Cubbin Hurst) very fine £100-£140

Henry Cubbin Hurst attested during the Great War for the Royal Marine Light Infantry, and having been appointed Acting Corporal was commissioned into the Yorkshire Regiment. Serving with the 6th Battalion, he was killed in action on 28 September 1916 during the Battle of the Somme. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
