Eric Partington was born in Manchester in July 1893. He was a photographer prior to the Great War. Partington served during the Great War with the 8th Canadian Mounted Rifles on the Western Front, and was attached to the 8th Infantry Brigade H.Q. for the time of the award of his M.S.M.
