Edward S. Goddard served during the Great War with the Suffolk Regiment in the French theatre of war from 30 August 1914.

Albert H. Goddard served during the Great War with the Suffolk Yeomanry in the Egyptian theatre of war from 8 October 1915. He was commissioned Lieutenant in April 1917, and subsequently served with the Rifle Brigade.
