Ashantee 1873-74, no clasp (E. Bell, Pte. R.M, H.M.S, Active, 73-74.) traces of brooch mounting to obverse, contact marks, slight edge digs, very fine £140-£180

Ezekiel Bell, a porter from Winterslow, Hampshire, and a member of the Royal Wiltshire Militia, attested into the Portsmouth Division of the Royal Marines on 18 November 1865. He served in H.M.S. Active during the Ashantee War of 1873-74, and was discharged on 21 November 1877, after 12 years’ service.
