John McQuade was born in Belfast and enlisted into the King’s Own Scottish Borderers at Glasgow. He later served with the Leinster Regiment and with the 2nd Battalion, Royal Dublin Fusiliers, serving with whom he was killed in action on 4 April 1917. He is commemorated by name on the Arras Memorial.
