R. Mottershaw, Esq., 41 Greenhill Drive, Bramley, Leeds’; and the related miniature awards, these similarly mounted, lacquered, extremely fine (5) £120-£160

John Roland Mottershaw was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Postal Section, Royal Engineers, on 6 April 1940, and was advanced Captain on 8 January 1946, and Major on 1 September 1952. He was awarded the Army Emergency Reserve Decoration in 1959 (London Gazette 11 September 1959), and was awarded a second Award Bar in 1963 (London Gazette 19 March 1963). He retired, having reached the age limit, on 1 December 1965, retaining the rank of Major.
