A circular engraved medal with decorated rim, 49mm, silver (Hallmarks for Glasgow 1862), obverse engraved with a kneeling Rifleman in the firing position, ‘In Defence of our Queen and Country’ around, reverse engraved ‘7th. R.R.V. Annual Competition. First Prize with £2 won by Sergt. Pollock. 1865.’, with integral loop and straight bar suspension, good very fine £80-£100
