Robert Henry Thompson was born in 1895 and attested for the Royal Artillery in London on 19 August 1914. Posted to Base Details as Gunner, his MIC confirms entitlement to a pair for Great War Service. Remaining with the Colours, Thompson was raised Staff Sergeant and discharged on 28 May 1939.
