The Lycée François d’Assise Nicolas Barré was built in 1883 in avenue Roqueville; it was known to generations of pupils and teachers as ‘Les Franciscains’ and was demolished in 2013. The image on the medal is taken from that on the Monegasque 2 franc postage stamp of 1983.
