A pair of oval portrait miniatures of a young lady, second quarter, 19th century, both apparently the same sitter, head and shoulders, her hair in ringlets, in gilt metal frames, inset verso with an oval panel of plaited hair mounted with the initials ‘M A R’ and a further similar gilt metal glazed locket engraved with cursive initials ‘A G P W’, now containing an early 20th century photograph of young man, in late 19th century morocco leather case, portraits on ivory, lengths 6.3cm each (including suspensory loop).
