A gold posy ring, 17th century, the D-shaped band with seriffed Roman capitals inscription to the interior ‘+as.i.crave.so.let.me.have..’, ring size P. £600-£800
Ex UK collection, found by a detectorist in Essex pre 1997.
This posy ring bears an interesting and unusual inscription: only one other posy uses the verb ‘crave’, see British Museum (ref. 1961,1020.236).
