A 19th century gold and hardstone memorial locket, of octagonal form, the hinged locket set to the front with a hardstone panel with engraved monogram, opening to reveal two glazed frames containing a photograph of a Victorian lady and hairwork compartment opposite, the reverse inscribed ‘BORN NOV’R 18TH 1845...SARAH KENGAN...my precious Mother...DIED OCT’R 14TH 1884’, the whole suspended by an 18ct gold T-bar, length 7cm. £300-£400
