‘Yogya silver’ was manufactured in Java, Indonesia, during the second quarter of the 20th century, after a significant evolution in design was supported by both Javanese and Dutch advocates of decorative arts. The production of ‘Yogya silver’ especially flourished after Indonesian independence was proclaimed in 1945.
