A pearl and enamel mourning ring, circa 1825, with a glazed panel to the centre revealing woven hairwork, within a surround of half-pearls and black enamel, the gold mount with scroll and foliate decoration and the shoulders with further half-pearls, the reverse engraved ‘Mary Pountney / ob 23 Aug.t 1825 / at 52’, (pearls untested, one deficient), rubbed hallmark, ring size O - P. £150-£200
