Roman Imperatorial Coinage, The Pompeians, Pompey Magnus, Denarius, Military mint moving with Pompey in Greece, 49-early 48 BC, struck under Cnaeus Calpurnius Piso as proquaestor, [–] piso pro q behind bearded head of Numa Pompilius right, wearing a diadem inscribed numa, rev. magn above prow of galley right, pro co[–] below, 3.82g/6h (Ghey 257, this coin; Craw. 446/1; BMCRR Spain 62-3; RSC 4; Sear 7). A few light marks and struck slightly off-centre, otherwise about very fine £150-£200
