British Iron Age, GALLO-BELGIC, Stater, series E [Ambiani], Gallic War uniface type, shallow dome, rev. stylised horse standing right, charioteer’s arm above, ‘thunderbolt’ behind, ‘coffee bean’ and curve of pellets before horse’s face, complex exergue comprising corded and pelleted lines, 5.88g (LH 26, this coin; ABC 16; VA 54-1; S 11). Some die flaws on reverse, otherwise very fine £500-£700
