Army L.S. & G.C., G.V.R., 1st issue (14516 W. Sjt. J. H. Keen. R.G.A.); Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., G.V.R., 1st issue (William Stephens, P.O. 2 Cl., (C.G.) H.M. Coast Guard) suspension bar slightly bent on first and with traces of lacquer, otherwise good very fine

Renamed and Copy Medals (2): Army Meritorious Service Medal, G.V.R., 1st issue (21073 Cpl. J. Waddleton Re Signals) renamed; Naval General Service 1915-62, 1 clasp, Bomb & Mine Clearance 1945-53 [sic] (C/SSX 856823 A. H. Lazell L/S (Diver) R.N.) this last a modern copy; test mark to edge of first, this polished and worn, good fine and better (4) £80-£100

William Stephens was born in Pembroke on 27 June 1863 and joined the Coast Guard on 27 May 1897. He was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 3 September 1912, and served during the Great War in H.M.S. Impregnable.
