George IV (1820-1830), Proof Half-Sovereign, 1826, normal hair, edge grained, 3.98g/6h (Hill 407A; Bull 997; WR 249; S 3804). Tiny surface metal flaw at back of King’s head and some grazes on his lower jaw, otherwise brilliant and virtually as struck £4,000-£5,000
