Robert II (1371-1390), Groat, Transitional phase, Edinburgh, mm. cross pattée, normal ‘Robert II’ head, tressure of six arcs, trefoils in spandrels, star on sceptre-handle, single crosslet stops, double after rex, nothing after scottorvm, two stars after dns, plain a both sides, 3.20g/7h (SCBI 35, –B –, fig. –; S 5131). Nearly very fine but slightly clipped, the variety extremely rare £150-£200
